As you can see my dress had a TON of beading sparkles and rhinestones everywhere! Which would of course make this dress super difficult to alter, not mention that I am a LARGE chested woman. After having some minor alterations done to a cocktail dress for a cruise back in November 2021, I was incredibly impressed with how much more flattering the dress looked after the alterations, how clean and concise the alterations were, and I was incredibly thankful that they squeezed me in to their already busy schedule in order to have it done in two week’s time for the cruise. Based on the work they did, we brought my fiancés wedding suit in for alterations. The knowledge they had on what exactly needed to be done in order to achieve the desired look for the jacket and break in the pant leg was phenomenal, and we are once again incredibly happy with the job they did. What services do you offer?
We specialize in formal wear alterations, including prom dresses, bridesmaid gowns, wedding gowns, homecoming dresses, and other special event attire. In addition to typical adjustments (hemming, taking in/out, strap changes), we also offer more detailed tailoring like reconstructing bodices, adding or reinforcing boning, creating bustles, and working with delicate fabrics.
Do I need to schedule an appointment for a fitting?
Yes — we strongly recommend scheduling an appointment for your fitting. This lets us allocate enough time to measure carefully, pin adjustments, and discuss exactly what you want done. Formal gowns often require several fittings to get the perfect fit.
What should I bring to my fitting appointment?
Please bring the dress (or garment) you want altered, plus the shoes you plan to wear with it and the undergarments or shapewear you will use. These items affect how the dress should be altered for your event.
If you have any accessories (veils, sashes, etc.), bring those too — they can change how the garment fits or drapes.
How long does the alteration process take?
The timeline depends on the complexity of your garment and the type of alterations needed. As a rough guide:
Simple adjustments (like hemming): a few weeks
Formal gowns (prom, bridesmaids): 4–6 weeks (or more, if there are many changes)
If you need a rush job, please let us know as early as possible — we may be able to accommodate, but additional fees may apply.
How much do your alteration services cost?
Pricing varies depending on your garment’s fabric, design, and how much work is needed. Because every dress is different (lining, beading, construction), we prefer to give an estimate after a fitting. This way, you get a more accurate quote.
